Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow Poker is an American invention using the ancient Chinese tile game of Pai Gow coupled with American poker. The game is played with a 53-card deck, including one joker that acts as a wild card
General Rules:
When wagering on the progressive jackpot portion of the game, you are betting that the five card hand will be high enough of a poker rank to receive a progressive payout. This wager is a separate bet and wins or loses regardless of the outcome of the
Pai Gow Poker Bet.
Progressive Jackpot Bet (optional):
Each player makes an optional bet for a chance to win the progressive jackpot.
How to Play: Play begins by placing a bet.
Each player receives seven cards. A roll of the dice determines which player receives the first set of cards. The dealer's position is always 1, 8, or 15; numbered clockwise.
Once the dice are revealed, no additional wagers are permitted.
Each player then arranges his seven cards into a five-card hand and a two-card hand.
Traditional poker rankings are used to set the hands. The highest two-card hand is a pair of aces; the lowest is a 2-3. The highest five-card hand is five aces (including the joker) or a Royal Flush.
The five-card must rank higher than the two-card hand. If, for example, the two-card hand is a pair of sevens, the five-card hand must contain at least a pair of sevens or higher.
Once all the hands are set, they are compared to the dealer's hand. If both of the player's hands beat the dealer's hands, the player wins.
If both of the player's hands lose to the dealer's hands, the player loses.
If a player wins one hand and loses the other, it is considered a "push" and no money is exchanged. Should one hand be exactly the same as the dealer's hand, it is called a "copy" and the dealer wins the hand.
House betting limits apply. English only during play. Players may not expose their cards to other players. All bets must be in increments of $5.
