CrapsBarona Craps

Craps is one of the more exciting and social table games played at Barona Valley Ranch today. Check out our version of Las Vegas-style play.

The object of Craps is to wager on potential combinations of numbers, either with "Sequence Bets" or "Roll Bets." A player may wager on one of several possible outcomes at the same time!

Determining The Roll

The final outcome of each "roll" is determined by two cards. These two cards will be laid on the table for all to see. The "shoe" in which these cards are drawn from consists of A's, 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, and 6's simulating the six sides of a die.

The Pass Line

WINS: 7 or 11 on first or "Come Out."
LOSES: 2, 3, or 12 on first or "Come Out."
Any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) becomes the Point and must be made again before a 7 is made in order to win.

The Don’t Pass Line

WINS: 2 or 3 on the first or "Come Out."
LOSES: 7 or 11 on the first or "Come Out."
Any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) becomes the Point. You win when the player makes a 7 before the Point is repeated.

The Odds

After the Point has been established, you may take or lay odds in addition to your original wager. Odds may be taken up to 5 times your original wager.

Pass Odds
Don't Pass Odds
6 and 8 = 6 to 5
Lay 6 to win 5
5 and 9 = 3 to 2
Lay 3 to win 2
4 and 10 = 2 to 1
Lay 2 to win 1

Come and Don’t Come Bets

Similar to Pass and Don’t Pass Line bets; may only be made after the Point has been established. The dealer moves your bet to the appropriate number.

Place Bets

A bet placed by the dealer any time after the Point is established on numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 which must be made before a 7 is made. Place bets are off on the "Come Out."

Place Bet Odds:

6 and 8 = 7 to 6
5 and 9 = 7 to 5
4 and 10 = 9 to 5

Field Bet

A "one-roll" bet may be made at any time. If 3, 4, 9, 10, or 11 is made, you win even money (1 to 1). If 2 is made, you win double (2 to 1) and triple (3 to 1) if the 12 is made. A Field Bet is a "self-service" bet placed by you.

Any dealer will be happy to explain the other available bets such as Proposition, Hardway, and Buy and Lay Bets.
