BARONA TOASTS THE NEW YEAR WITH TWO MENUS

(SAN DIEGO) December 19, 2006 – Resolve to indulge yourself this new year by starting 2007 with the delicious fare at Barona Valley Ranch Resort & Casino’s award winning restaurants. This year, the Barona Oaks Steakhouse and Ranch House Buffet will both feature special menus worthy of celebration.
 
Executive Chef Dean Thomas has designed a three course New Year’s Eve menu at the Barona Oaks Steakhouse designed to have you raising your glasses over your good fortune. This year’s menu begins with a Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with Pink Grapefruit followed by the main course, a gourmet Roasted Beef Sirloin Cap Steak topped with a rich Wild Mushroom Sauce and sides of Potatoes with Sage and Butternut Squash Flan. To end the meal, enjoy an irresistible White Chocolate Almond Raspberry Torte with Mixed Berry Sorbet and Cocoa Nib Cookies.
 
Chef Thomas has also selected an eclectic range of the Ranch House Buffet’s international specialties for the New Year’s Day menu. Guests can choose their entree from the selection of tender Spiral Sliced Honey Ham, Prime Rib of Beef with Horseradish Cream and Au Jus, Crispy Ginger Mahi Mahi with Ponzu Sauce or flavorful Five Spice Honey Glazed Pork Belly with Kim Chee and Choi Sum. A hearty assortment of side dishes will finish off the perfect plate including Corned Beef with Cabbage, Spinach, Mustard Green and Baby Carrots, an Oyster, Scallop and Leek Casserole, Hoppin’ John Black Eyed Peas and Rice, Menudo and a juicy seafood selection of Poached Salmon and Snow Crab Clusters. These New Year’s options will be offered in addition to the everyday menu of international favorites.
 
Guests may enjoy the Barona Oaks Steakhouse New Year’s Eve menu items a-la-carte or as a special prix fixe menu for $70 on New Year’s Eve, December 31. The Ranch House Buffet’s all-you-can-eat New Year’s Day buffet is priced at $29.95 per person and will be served from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Day, January 1.
